What does it take to change your results?  Is it possible to experience significant transformation in 30 days?  And, if you architect a plan to achieve specific outcomes in 30 days and you realize those outcomes, how do turn that into new habits, so that every month the results are better than the one before it?

When you own a small business, it can be hard to change how you do things; you don’t even have to be a business owner for it to be hard to change things.  As humans, we don’t like change.  But, if you keep doing things the way you have always done them and don’t get the results you want, expecting something different is considered the definition of Insanity!

So, there are really three steps to getting different results in your small business.  They are:

Step 1 – Clarify what it is that you want.

Step 2 – Focus on what it will take to make it a reality.

Step 3 – Get the results you want!

It sounds so easy, I know.  Why isn’t it happening?  When you have habits, it is not easy to change what you are doing.  But, often people really don’t even stop and think about what do they really want and what will it really take to get there?

Many business owners like things to happen fast and so they react in panic mode when things aren’t happening.  Taking time to sit and discover what success looks like to you can really be the first step to creating clarity.

Let’s say, your challenge is creating predictable cash flow.  If you decide that is a problem you want to solve, and what you have now is not selling, you may think that offering a new product or service is the key.  If you take a step back, you might realize the offering you have now is not the problem, but rather you haven’t clearly identified who your target audience is or what is the message that will get their attention and are you using it today?

If you have a tendency to think that solving problems in your business always requires something new – new technology, new product or service, a new desk chair, etc., maybe it is time to find a good sounding board and discover what is really holding you back from achieving success in your business.

And, while getting from Zero to 60 is unlikely to happen in 30 days, you will see changes that indicate a new business is happening and the success you desire is imminent when you take the time to do the Steps!  Remember, you probably have the answers, but if you aren’t asking yourself the right questions, it might be time to find someone who will.
